UCM Plan Enhancement Project: Administrative Staff Information and Updates

As a follow up to the Dec 19 message regarding UCM Plan Enhancement Project: Latest Developments, note the following updates and changes that will impact various administrative staff as part of the UCM Plan Enhancement Project:

  • Test Environment Access: Reviewed with department financial leads in early January 2025.
  • Submit Access Requests: Department leads must submit any new or revised access requests via a Service Now ticket as needed.
  • Test Environment Exploration: Users have access to explore the new environment and begin re-creating current SmartView reports in the test environment.
  • Upcoming Trainings (Week of March 3)
    • Supplemental UCM Plan Enhancement
    • Budget Request Fundamentals
    • Workforce Fundamentals
Session content details and training invitations will be provided in separate communication.
 
  • Confirm Access and SmartView Usability: Ensure proper access has been requested, confirmed, and validated. Users should confirm their ability to use SmartView prior to go-live.
SmartView Access Changes
  • Project Cube Access Removal:
    • Task-level data reporting will no longer be available in SmartView.
    • SmartView will support GL and PPM project-level reporting directly from the Financial Cube (GL data only).
System Freeze Information
To ensure a smooth transition for the March 21 go-live, note the following system availability schedule:
  • March 10 – 19 – Budget requests cannot be processed, but data remains available for reporting.
  • Thurs March 20 – System will be completely offline for go-live preparations.
  • Fri March 21 – System will be available with all enhancements.
