The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Planning & Budget and Chief Financial Officer (VC/CFO) plays a central role in advancing UC Merced’s mission of teaching, research, and public service by guiding strategic, financial, and administrative efforts across the Division of Finance and Administration (DFA).
In addition to providing campus-level leadership in planning and resource stewardship, the VC/CFO Office delivers operational and executive support to DFA units including Financial Planning and Analysis, Business and Financial Services, Supply Chain Center of Excellence, and Auxiliary Enterprises and Fiscal Innovation.
Our office also oversees divisional initiatives, internal communications, and administrative coordination—ensuring effective collaboration, alignment, and service delivery across the division. Through this work, we contribute to the long-term stability, transparency, and impact of UC Merced’s operations.
We are home to a dedicated team overseeing executive and administrative support, administrative operations, and internal communications and marketing efforts for the division.
