It’s time to submit nominations for the annual STAR (Staff Appreciation and Recognition) Awards. The program recognizes extraordinary contributions above and beyond an employee’s established day-to-day job responsibilities. Employees can be nominated by a supervisor, manager or department head. Please submit completed nomination forms to dofa@ucmerced.edu no later than COB Monday, Oct. 3.
STAR (Staff Appreciation and Recognition) awards are used to recognize extraordinary contributions above and beyond an employee’s established day-to-day job responsibilities. They are not a substitute for equity or merit increases, or as a stipend.
Awards are available in two forms:
- A non-cash employee recognition award, also known as a “spot” award, administered under these guidelines.
- Cash awards, administered under these guidelines.
