Dear Colleagues,
Jennifer Riedeman, a longtime member of UC Merced’s accounting team and the current interim Director of General Accounting, has announced her resignation. Her last day with UC Merced will be Friday, May 27.
Jennifer has worked at UC Merced for eight years, including the last six as Director of Treasury, Accounts Payable, Disbursements and Cashiering, in addition to recently assuming the interim leadership role with General Accounting. Jennifer was involved in numerous major projects such as Alpha Financials, which included the UCLA AP Transition, where her subject matter expertise was invaluable. She also served on many committees to represent Business and Financial Services and built collaborative relationships across the university and the UC system.
As we approach the end of the 2021-22 fiscal year, we are reviewing options to ensure a smooth transition and support UC Merced’s year-end close efforts. We are also finalizing recruitments for other accounting positions. We will work closely during this transition with everyone who reported to Jennifer’s position to maintain business continuity. We are also available to answer any questions or hear concerns you may have about the transition.
We appreciate the hard work and dedication Jennifer has shown UC Merced over the past eight years. We wish her continued success in all her future endeavors.

Kelli Maxey, Assistant Controller
