Associate Vice Chancellor for Auxiliary Enterprises and Fiscal Innovation (AFI) Adriana Rojas has departed UC Merced to serve as Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. We congratulate Adriana on this exciting new opportunity and extend our sincere appreciation for her leadership and many contributions to the campus community.
Effective immediately, Deborah Henderson has been appointed Interim Associate Vice Chancellor for AFI. Most recently serving as Executive Director of AFI Administration and Organizational Development, Debbie has provided steady leadership across several key areas within AFI since joining UC Merced in 2016. Her deep institutional knowledge and strategic approach will ensure continuity and continued progress during this transition. In her interim role, Debbie will oversee a dynamic portfolio that includes Housing and Residence Education, Dining Services (including Catering, Retail and Hospitality Services), the University Store, Transportation and Parking Services, Early Childhood Education Center, AFI Administration, Systems and Strategic Projects (including CatCard) and AFI Finance.
A national search for the permanent AVC will be launched in the coming months.
