I’m happy to announce a new transition leadership team for the Department of Business and Financial Services. The team consists of:
- Interim Controller Chris Robinson
- Interim Assistant Controller Kelli Maxey
Chris, currently the director of Student Business Services (SBS), will provide day-to-day support, oversight and supervision of SBS, along with Travel and Expense Management; Financial Systems Support; Tax Services; and Payroll Services.
Kelli, currently the director of Administrative Budget and Policy for Financial Planning and Analysis, will provide day-to-day support, oversight and supervision of General Accounting; Project Portfolio Financial Management; Treasury, Banking and Cashiering Services; and Accounts Payable.
These new assignments are effective as of Monday, Aug. 16. Please join me in congratulating and supporting our colleagues in these leadership roles.
In addition, Kim Groesbeck, who retired in June as interim controller, capping years of service and leadership to the university’s financial services, is serving as an adviser to Kurt and Chris.
On a related subject, we have received applications for interim Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and will make a selection among the candidates in the near future. The interim CPO and the Center for Business Services and Solutions (CBS2) will report directly to me during this transitional period in DFA as we search for a CPO.
