Research Newsletter Report: May 6, 2022

May 6, 2022

Thank you to all who joined our Oracle Town Hall on May 5 to hear about the history of Oracle, the status of our foci, and the future directions of our team’s efforts to support the campus.

As summarized in the presentation, the Oracle Data Integrity Project continues to make progress on aligning the general ledger and the project subject sub-ledger. To date, they have put together alignment plans for 46 percent of the 214 contract and grant accounts that require alignment, as well as 31 percent of the 259 internally managed accounts (e.g., incidentals, start-up). We have not worked on the 130 misaligned gift funds at this time but, in total, we have aligned 29 percent of the accounts. Our goal is to have the alignment plans completed in time for fiscal close.

Procurement

We are experiencing an increase in Service Now tickets, mainly in the area of travel, and are having to reprioritize our workflow to address this surge. This is most likely the result of our return to more normal summer travel levels, and we are hopeful that we will be able to address this surge quickly. We apologize for any delays this may be causing you. However, we are pleased to see the research community returning back to its normal operations and look forward to seeing the fruits of your continued productivity.
