Financial Transparency Town Hall to Wait for Clear View of State Funding

June 6, 2022

Campus Colleagues,

As we progress toward the 2022-23 fiscal year, everyone at UC Merced deserves a view of our financial picture that is the clearest and sharpest possible. In that light, the Financial Transparency Town Hall originally scheduled for this morning is moving to a later date so it can incorporate information from the final version of the California budget, which is being negotiated between the state Legislature and Gov. Gavin Newsom's office.

I look forward to walking you through the university's FY23 budget call process and laying out our short- and long-term fiscal outlook -- with fresh data based on state funding for higher education worked into the presentation.

We expect to hold the Financial Transparency Town Hall in early July. Watch your inbox for a new invitation with a time, date and Zoom link. Meanwhile, follow this link for background from previous town halls.

Sincerely,

Kurt Schnier

Interim Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer
