Relocation Setup


Assist in setting up the new hire with UC contracted moving companies to set-up and pre-pay for their final move.

Who can request for this Service?

Must be an active UC Merced staff member, faculty member, PostDoc or graduate student who has received relocation in their offer letter.

What can I expect after submitting this ticket?

The request will be responsed to in 3 business days, completion dependent on employee start date.

Customer Responsibility

Submit signed offer letter with request, new-hire contact information, and chart string.

Travel and Expense Management Responsibility

Liaison between third-party vendor and incoming employee. Initial direct contact with the vendor and will obtain quotes for final move which will be sent to new hire for final approval. Once final move has been arranged between new hire and third-party vendor, Travel & Expense will pay for the final move, up to, the amount that was offered.

What are the operating hours for the service provided?

Support for this service is provided during standard operating hours: 7:30 a.m.-4:30p.m., Monday through Friday.
